City of Woodstock Board of Building Construction will meet Oct. 29
Here is the agenda provide by the board:
1. CALL TO ORDER
2. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: November 2, 2022
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
4. OLD BUSINESS
● No old business
5. NEW BUSINESS
● Based on IBC Table 307.1(2) for Maximum Allowable Quantities (MAQ) Per Control Area of Hazardous Materials Posing a Health Hazard, aluminum sulfate is subject to the 500-gallon limit for both storage and use-closed systems. Since the proposed system exceeds this amount significantly (with 11,000 gallons), the project would need to adhere to stricter requirements, including those outlined for the H-4 occupancy. Footnote b in IBC Table 307.1(2) further confirms that the aggregate quantity in both storage and use must not exceed the MAQ for storage alone. In this case, since they're proposing a use-closed system, both the storage and use quantities are limited by the same threshold. Given the excess quantity, the requirement for additional fire protection systems aligns with both the IBC and IFC guidelines. Director Aymond is looking for relief of the sprinkler requirements.
● Add regular quarterly meetings for the board to convene.
