On Saturday, March 22, former Marengo Community High School standout Matt Volkening’s current collegiate team the NYU Violets lost 64-60 against the Trinity Bantams in the NCAA Division III Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, this was the first game against the Trinity Bantams during the championship.

Matt Volkening’s hometown is Marengo and game position is forward.
