State Senator Craig Wilcox and State Representative Steve Reick, both Republicans from Woodstock, are teaming up with the Illinois Tollway to hold an I-PASS ON DEMAND event on April 16 in McHenry. The event aims to assist motorists in updating from plastic transponders to the new Sticker Tags, which are now available as replacements.

The gathering is set for Wednesday, April 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the City of McHenry, located at 333 S. Green Street. Attendees should bring both their driver's licenses and license plate numbers to present to the Illinois Tollway officials on site. Guests should also anticipate potential short wait times.

During the event, Illinois Tollway officials will assist attendees in transitioning to the Sticker Tag technology, ensuring no disruption to their current I-PASS account activity. Officials will also be available to resolve any "Pay by Plate" issues and address any other questions related to I-PASS accounts.

Once activated, the Sticker Tags can be used on Illinois Tollway systems and E-Z Pass roadways in other states, typically within 24 hours. There is no deposit required for the Sticker Tag, and any previous $10 transponder deposit will be transferred to the new account upon activation.

For further details, those interested are encouraged to contact Representative Reick’s office at 815-880-5340.
