State Representative Steve Reick and State Senator Craig Wilcox will hold a free shredding and food drive event on Saturday, August 16, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Rep. Reick’s District Office, located at 1072 Lake Avenue in Woodstock.
“This event gives folks a chance to protect their personal information while helping out our neighbors,” said Rep. Reick. “We’re glad to offer this service alongside Senator Wilcox and look forward to seeing everyone there.”
Residents may bring up to two banker boxes of paper documents per vehicle for on-site shredding. The event aims to provide a secure way for the community to dispose of old paperwork and reduce identity theft risks. Electronics will not be accepted for recycling or disposal. Shredding services will end at noon or earlier if the truck reaches capacity.
Attendees are also encouraged to donate non-perishable food items that will go to local food pantries.
For more information, residents can contact Rep. Reick’s office at 815-880-5340.
Reick, a Republican, has represented Illinois’ 63rd House District since his election in 2017, succeeding Jack D. Franks.
