Senator Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) will host a community event in Woodstock on August 21, partnering with Kishwaukee Brewing and K9s4U Dog Rescue. The gathering, called Barks & Brews, is part of Wilcox’s ongoing Conversations Untapped tour in the 32nd District.
The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Kishwaukee Brewing, located at 1900 Dillard Court. Attendees can meet dogs available for adoption while engaging in conversation and sampling local craft brews.
“This event grows in popularity every year, because casual conversation and tasty beverages pair beautifully with cuddly four-legged friends,” said Wilcox. “The dogs that will be at the event are looking for new human best friends and a loving home, and I am hoping we can help place several pets with good families.”
K9s4U will bring several adoptable dogs to the event. Prospective pet owners can complete same-day adoptions if they submit the necessary paperwork.
“I have had rescue dogs and have always been an advocate for pet adoptions,” added Wilcox. “I hope we are able to place several dogs through this collaborative event.”
Wilcox was elected as a Republican to the Illinois State Senate in 2018 to represent the state’s 32nd Senate District, succeeding Pamela Althoff. For more information about Barks & Brews, interested parties may contact Senator Wilcox’s office by phone or email.
