Illinois is home to numerous local CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) chapters. CASA volunteers are community members who advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse and neglect and are involved with the child welfare system. Volunteers form close personal bonds with children in crisis situations and ensure that their mental, physical, and educational needs are being met. More information about CASA's work can be found on their website.
