The Barrington Hills Village Board voted to grant a special use permit to allow the construction of a man-made lake at it Oct. 26 meeting.
The special use permit will allow the construction of an artificial lake on the property of 789 Plum Tree.
Village trustees voted in favor of the special use permit pending the village engineer's approval of the final plan and receipt of the Army Corps of Engineers' permit that shows the impact on the wetlands.
