A special meeting was held by the village of Algonquin Board of Trustees on Dec. 8 to vote on the Tax Levy for Special Service Area No. 1 for the 2015 fiscal year .
The ordinance, which includes the Riverside Square, was moved by Trustee Debby Sosine. The vote was passed with six yes and none opposed.
Present were Village Clerk Jerry Kautz, and trustees Brian Dianis, Robert Smith, Jerrold Glogowski, Jim Steigert, John Spella, Robert Smith and Debby Sosine. Staff members present included Community Development Director Russ Farnum, Police Chief John Bucci, Superintendent Andy Warmus and Village Attorney Kelly Cahill.
