The Algonquin Public Arts Commission discussed the 2016 Art on the Fox Fine Art Show and other art events on Nov. 24.
The 2016 event will be the ninth annual Art on the Fox show, which attracts artists and art lovers from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, is held in Riverfront Park on the Fox River, a setting that allows the public to enjoy art from statues to murals. The 2015 art show, held on Father’s Day weekend, provided hands on art for children in the Picasso Tent. In addition to the fine arts, free musical entertainment was available in the park gazebo.
The commission also heard reports on the 2015 public art displays and discussed the upcoming 2016 student art exhibit.
