Spring Grove finalizes road program, OKs police mutual aid pact with Richmond

Minutes

The Spring Grove Village Board discussed the conclusion of village road program and approved a police mutual aid pact with the village of Richmond at its Oct. 20 meeting.

Trustees also were told that three housing permits had been issued since the moratorium on impact fees, and the police department said noncompliance with vehicle sticker requirements was reported to be under 100 citizens.

During the public discussion portion of the meeting, Sweet Tomato Pizzeria Owner Karen Prickett asked the board’s opinion on whether the establishment should apply for a liquor license that would allow for the installation of video game machines. The meeting notes indicate that overall, the board was supportive of this suggestion.

Village trustees also approved a resolution honoring Ron Kopke for serving as a Village Board member for approximately 16 years.

The board also approved a $8,095 reduction for the 2015 road program with Curran Contracting Company.
