The Lake in the Hills Public Works Department is seeking bids for a dump truck with snow removal equipment.
Bids for the 2016 truck and plow need to be submitted by 10 a.m. Jan. 27.
This equipment would support the village’s efforts in removing snow during the winter season. Village plowing efforts begin as snow begins to accumulate onto the streets, the department said.
The Public Works Department also said it is the responsibility of property owners to clear snow from their sidewalks and driveways. The village will clear snow from municipal parking lots, bike paths and other village-owned properties. Commercial lots are the responsibility of commercial property owners.
