The Cary Public Works Department detailed its project updates at the Village Board's committee-of-the-whole meeting Dec. 15.

Public Works Director Erik Morimoto said a number of different projects were ongoing, including surveying and pavement core work for a design project relating to Park Avenue. He also said additional work would be completed in the downtown area. Morimoto also indicated that the design process for the Three Oaks Road project between Silver Lake and Rawson Bridge roads is ongoing.

Public works staff currently is reviewing stormwater management designs, Morimoto said. He also noted that the demolition of a home at Sunset and Crest was to be completed by the associated contractor.

Representatives from the Community Development, Administration and Finance departments also offered updates regarding projects and measures. These included the seeking of auditing service proposals alongside neighboring communities and updates regarding the Economic Development Task Force.

The Village Board also had the opportunity to view the village's redesigned website.
