U-Stor-It has requested various ordinance modifications for a Lakepointe project.
U-Stor-It and Lakepointe Lake in the Hills Development Inc. are requesting an amendment that would allow conditional use for self-storage units at the latter company’s project site, which will be considered in a February hearing.
The companies are requesting amendments to four ordinances that would allow for the construction of a 105,740-square-foot self-storage facility within two lots of the Lake Pointe Center subdivision. Ordinances that would require modification include: Ordinance No. 2004-78, 2008-42, 2015-07 and 2015-11. This facility would be located northeast of a CVS Pharmacy.
This facility would consist of a retail space of approximately 4,400 square feet. The site is currently zoned as B-3 General Business District Planned Development. The Lake Pointe subdivision is located in the northeast quarter of Section 26, which is located in Township 43 North.
The Village of Lake in the Hills Planning and Zoning Commission will be considering this petition among others at a public hearing that is set to take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Village Hall.
Members of the public are welcome to submit testimony and evidence relating to this petition. The document is also available within the Community Development Department at Village Hall and can be accessed during business hours -- between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
