Village Board of Fox River Grove discusses liquor license changes
The Fox River Grove, Illinois Village Board of Trustees discussed an ordinance that would change the amounts of Class D and Class F liquor licenses during its recent session.
The ordinance would call for decreasing the amount of acting Class F liquor licenses. Class F licenses refer to establishments that are allowed to sell beer and wine in packages but are not allowed to have consumption take place on the premises. These establishments are typically retail locations that specialize in items other than alcohol. This license does not allow the sale of other kinds of alcoholic beverages. The village places the costs for this class of license at $1,000
The board also aims to increase the number of Class D licenses in the village. Village code states that Class D licenses are allowed to sell unopened alcoholic beverages. Like the Class F licenses, consumption is not allowed on the premises. This class of license costs $1,375.
The board of trustees also discussed ordinances related to surplus property and a waiver of a bidding process for landscape maintenance contracts. They also reviewed and voted to approve the meeting notes from the board’s previous meeting that took place on Jan. 21.
