Crystal Lake to consider Raue Center special events requests

The Crystal Lake City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to consider two requests by the Raue Center for the Arts regarding special events.

The center is seeking approval to close Williams Street between Crystal Lake Avenue and Woodstock Street for the center's Bob Blazier Walk/Run for the Arts on May 1.

The center also is seeking a temporary liquor license for its Rauetoberfest at 11129 Route 176 on Sept. 9 and 10.

The council will also consider a request to close Williams Street for the Dec. 4 Kiwanis Santa Run and a request to use the City Hall parking lot for staging and as a beginning and ending point for the Night Owl Bike Ride on Aug. 6 and 7.
