llinois Restoration PAC has endorsed Allen Skillicorn of East Dundee in his run for the Republican nomination for state representative in the 66th House District, serving Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Lake-in-the-Hills, and East and West Dundee.
Skillicorn is running to fill a seat held by retiring Rep. Michael Tyron (R-Crystal Lake).
“Allen is a strong fiscal conservative that has been lowering taxes for the past 5 years in East Dundee as trustee – now Allen plans to take on Madigan in Springfield,”IL Restoration PAC said in an announcement.
“IRPAC stands behind bold conservatives and we are proud to endorse Allen Skillicorn to be the new State Representative in the 66th House District.”
Restoration PAC is non partisan
and supports candidates committed
to “restoring individual freedom,
reducing the size of government,
and reducing the government debt.”
State and local debt will prove a major issue in the 66nd District
race. Led by Madigan, Illinois Democrats have traditionally supported
more borrowing rather than prioritizing spending. That’s including a
proposed $4 billion this year in additional debt, opposed by Republicans
and Gov. Bruce Rauner
The state of Illinois already owes
$194 billion. The local government
of Crystal Lake has racked up $90
million, Algonquin’s $29 million
and Lake-in-the-Hills’ $17 million.
