The Village of Algonquin is accepting bids for the Snapper Field Rehabilitation Project this week.
This project aims to facilitate the construction of new facilities at the facility including a new basketball court, an ice rink, a pool expansion and associated splash pads, a new path, fencing and a fire hydrant.
This request process will consist of sealed proposals being submitted and then at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, all bid submissions will be reviewed by the Department of Public Works at the William J. Ganek Municipal Center. All bids will need to be submitted in person or via mail by that date and time. Mailed bids should be sent to the following address: Village of Algonquin, Attn: Deputy Clerk, 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, IL 60102. Envelopes should be marked with “Sealed Bid” in a way that is clearly visible.
Bids are required to include a bond, certified or bank cashier’s check for five percent of the base bid that is established in the bidding documents. The village notes that proposals without this will be rejected outright.
Prospective bidders may receive electronic copies of contract documents at the Ganek Municipal Center for a charge of $10; these may be mailed at the cost of an additional $5. These documents may also be requested via email by emailing bids@algonquin.org, with a subject referencing the Snapper Court Project.
