The request for the derbies on May 14 and Sept. 10 also sought permission to erect a small canopy to promote the derbies, sell advance tickets on prior weekends at the Three Oaks Recreation Area and a waiver of parking fees for nonresident participants who purchased tickets in advance.
The City Council also discussed a resolution to place the proposed annual budget for fiscal year 2016-17 on public display and set the public hearing date on the proposed budget for the April 19 regular City Council meeting.
