The Turnberry Country Club recently announced a golf fundraiser for the Crystal Lake Central High School boys and girls golf programs. The first 144 golfers registered will be able to participate in the golf outing on Aug. 1.
Participants in the golf outing can register as individuals or teams. The event features a four-person scramble format. Each participant will enjoy 18 holes of golf. A golf cart is available for the players.
In addition to the round of golf, the country club will provide range practice, a box lunch, a buffet dinner and prizes for the golfers. The 2016-2017 high school golf schedule begins on Aug. 8 with the girls varsity team facing Marian Central at the Boone Creek Golf Course. The boys varsity team competes in the Cary Grove Invite on the same day at the Foxford Hills Golf Course. Home games are hosted at the Turnberry Country Club at 9600 Turnberry Trail, Lakewood.
