Four members of the McHenry County College volleyball team received All-Region IV honors, according to the college's Facebook page.
Sophomore middle blocker Kayli Trausch, sophomore hitter Sarah Adams and freshman opposite hitter Kyla Fitzsimmons were named to the region's first team, and freshman outside hitter Sommer Rhea was named to the second team.
As of Oct. 23, Trausch led NJCAA Division II in points and was second in kills, Rhea was in the top 40 in kills and kills per set, Adams was third in total digs, and Fitzsimmons was 30th in kills.
This year's selections made it two years in a row that MCC has had at least three players receive region honors. Last year, according to mchenry.edu, Maddy Cysewski and Zoe Lindsey were named to the first team, while Britney Adams was named to the second team.
Region IV of the National Junior College Athletic Association includes 30 teams in Illinois and Wisconsin, according to njcaa.org.
