Village of Richmond Finance Committee met April 11.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

The Finance Committee meeting held at the Village Hall, 5600 Hunter Drive, Richmond, Illinois was called to order by Chairman Dennis Bardy at 4:00 PM on April 11, 2017.

Roll call of Members Present: Trustees: Dennis Bardy, Craig Kunz and Ramsin Wardanian.

Absent: None.

Other Employees/Officials Present: Public Works Supervisor Bill Price, Finance Clerk Seresa Stout, Village Clerk Karla Thomas, and Village President Peter Koenig.

Approval of Minutes: None.

Public Comments: Donn Lauten voiced concerns about payment of an invoice for event coordinator work performed. Trustee Kunz explained the process of hiring. Mr. Lauten was asked to attend the next Board meeting scheduled on April 20, 2017. Mr. Lauten reported that he had scheduled a meeting with local restaurants to further discuss the “Taste of Richmond” on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 5:30 PM.

Clerk’s Comments: The Village Clerk presented a proposal for roofing repairs and semi-annual roof care plan for the Village Hall. The new proposal will save the Village $5,200.00.

Unfinished Business: None.

New Business: Supervisor Price presented a tentative Capital Improvement budget to the committee. The Finance Clerk presented General Transfers based upon the discussion. Further discussion was determined.

Trustee Wardanian moved, seconded by Trustee Kunz to reconvene the meeting to Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM. The motion was approved by voice vote.

The meeting was recessed at 6:25 PM.

Chairman Bardy called to order the reconvened Finance Committee meeting of Thursday, April 11, 2017, on April 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM, 5600 Hunter Drive, Richmond, Illinois.

New Business: The committee continued to discuss adjustments to the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget. The committee will present the FY 2018 budget for approval by the Board on Thursday, April 20, 2017.

Trustee Comments: None.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, Trustee Kunz moved, seconded by Trustee Wardanian to adjourn the April 13, 2017 regular Finance committee meeting. The motion was approved by voice vote.

Meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
