The dedication Cindy Harris gave to the 4-H earned her an honorary resolution in the lllinois House on Monday, thanks to Rep. Steve Reick (R-Woodstock).
Harris, who died in February, devoted more than 35 years to the McHenry County's 4-H Club as a member, club leader and volunteer coordinator. She was inducted into the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame in 2012.
Reick welcomed her family to Springfield to hear about the difference she had made in Illinois
"She exemplified all the best of volunteerism and community service, and was the embodiment of 4-H in every aspect as she personified its motto: 'To make the best better,' he said, according to a press release.
