Harvard City Council will meet Jan. 23.

Here is the agenda provided by the Council:

Items under the consent agenda are acted upon in a single motion. There is no separate discussion of these items prior to the Council vote unless a Council Member requests that an item be removed from the consent agenda for separate action.

d. Community Development Department Report

j. Approve Events Committee recommendation to appoint Roger Hugg and Michele Luis to the Events Committee

k. Approve Mayor’s recommendation to appoint Lisa Haderlein to the Planning and Zoning Commission

l. Resolution in Recognition of Larry Lantero/Lanocon LLC for Property Donation

m. Resolution National Children’s Dental Health Month

n. Proclamation Commemorating Harvard School Choice Week

5. Individual Action Consent Agenda Items

 City Council Action on any item removed from the consent agenda.

6. Resolution Commemorating Hartwig & Plumbing and Heating Inc. 60th Anniversary

 Action requested is to approve a resolution in recognition of the Hartwig Plumbing & Heating, Inc.’s 60th Anniversary.

7. Proposed Tax Levy Abatement Ordinance for Water/Sewer and TIF Bonds

 The proposed ordinance amends Ordinance 2017-125, removing verbiage referring to the 2011B Bonds. Action requested is to approve the proposed ordinance as presented.

8. Proposed Ordinance Amending Chapter 22, Peddlars & Solicitors

 Pursuant to the Ordinance Committee’s recommendation, the proposed ordinance amends various sections of Chapter 22, Peddlars & Solicitors. Action requested is to approve the proposed ordinance as presented.

9. Proposed Ordinance Authorizing Sale of Surplus Property

 The proposed ordinance provides for a declaration and sale/disposal of surplus property which is no longer necessary or useful to the City. Action requested is to adopt the proposed ordinance.

10. Appoint Special City Council Committee

 A Special City Council Committee needs to be appointed, with authority to act, to review the Request for Proposal for the property on Route 14 donated to the City by Lanocon LLC.

11. Call Water & Sewer Committee Meeting

12. Call Streets & Alleys Committee Meeting to Discuss 2019 MFT Road Program

13. Finance Committee Meeting/Budget Workshop, Saturday, February 10, 2018 @ 8 am

14. FYI: February Love Your Library Month

 In recognition of Love Your Library Month, the February 27th, 2018, City Council meeting will be held in the conference room at the library.
