City of Harvard Events Committee met March 1.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

1. Roll Call

2. Public Comment

3. Harvard Food Truck Event Saturday July 14th

a) Hours of Event (11 am - 6 pm or noon- 7 pm)

b) Location of Event: Downtown Ayer Street 2 or 3 blocks ( do we want to block from 14 down ?)

c) Name of Event Harvard's Brew & Food Truck Fest or Harvard's Food Truck n' Brews Fest

d) Proposed Budget

e) Set Up Committees

i) Advertising/Marketing/Social Media (Facebook promotions, flyers, lawn signs, 5 pts. banner)

 Develop logo for event

ii) Beer/Wine Tent

iii) Craft/Art Vendors

 Fee structure - suggest $50 or $75 per spot

iv) Food Vendors (no electric available)

 Fee structure - suggest $100 or $120 for a spot. Tents or Trucks

v) Map Development for Parking/Shopping Locations Away from Food Truck Event

(ex: Starline, if approved; Steel Heart, Fire House Depot, Swiss Maid, etc.)

vi) Music/Entertainment

vii) Set-up/Tear Down

viii)Sponsorship

f) Event Profit - Earmark Profits Towards a Specific City Project

 Suggestions: community garden in one of the other city parks, plant a flower garden in Mary's Park, native grass plantings in various parks to help reduce mowing, etc.
