Burton Township Board of Trustees met March 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Supervisor Jones called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Village Hall, Spring Grove, IL.

Roll call present: Supervisor Jones, Clerk Shetsky, Road Commissioner Sutton, Trustees; Eileen Miller, John Flood, Merrilee Anhalt, Dennis Riechert and Assessor Jessica Hubert.

Absent: Dan Sutton, Dennis Riechert

Guest: Ted Trzaskowski

Supervisor Jones led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on February 13, 2018 were read. Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Trustee: John Flood. The accounts payable were presented for payment for the various funds, they were audited, initialed and ordered paid.

Supervisors Report:

•Sam will email the Boards new email addresses to everyone.

•Preparing for Annual meeting next month

•Annual Budgets will be coming in May

•Donation to the Village for Recreation

A motion was made by Trustee: John Flood to donate $2,000.00 to the Village for the Recreation Dept. and was seconded by Trustee: Eileen Miller. Voice vote all ayes, motion carried.

•Consortium Meeting- Mr. Erdmann was the voice for the Public. They do not feel the Trustees of Townships/Villages should not be paid

•The McRide Program is going well

•Senior Transportation is going well also

•Township consolidation is being discussed

Road & Bridge:

•No report at this time

Assessor Report:

•There were two state appeals

•Received the Homestead exemption list

•All assessments have been certified and ready to be picked up

Clerks Report:

• I transferred all information from the Mediacom email to our new email account.

•Annual Township Agenda was posted for the public viewing

Trustees Report:

•No Report at this time

Public Comments:

•Mr. Trzaskowski would like to give kiddos to the road department for doing a great job maintaining the roads during the snow storm.

Adjournment of Regular Meeting:

A motion was made by Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt to adjourn the meeting at 7:25 pm it was seconded by Trustee: John Flood, voice vote all ayes, motion carried.
