Report: Community High School District 155 spent $15,021 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Community High School District 155 is up 15 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $13,086 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,021 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6914 to 6277.

Community High School District 155's spending in 2016-17 was 16 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
