Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 recently issued the following announcement.
The second annual soccer tournament will be held for District 47 students and their families on Sunday, June 3, 2018. The event will be held at Lippold Park Raiders football practice fields from 3pm-8pm. Paid for with Title I funds, the event is open to families whose students attend Canterbury, Coventry, and North Elementary Schools, as well as Hannah Beardsley Middle School.
The tournament is organized by grade level and includes an adult division for parents and District 47 staff. Other highlights include:
Sweet Feet Yoga will provide a family yoga stretch break at 5pm
Free books will be available from A to Z Literacy
A visit from the Crystal Lake Fire Department
Food will be available for purchase by Dunkin' Donuts and La Michoacana; beverages will provided by school PTOs/PTAs; families are also welcome to bring their own food/drinks
Community partner tables will feature information about summer programs for kids (Crystal Lake “The Break,” Crystal Lake Park District, Options & Advocacy, and more)
