Of the 667 in-school suspensions, 409 were given to boys and 258 were given to girls, including 138 elementary or middle schoolers and 529 high schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 586 incidents. There were 65 incidents of violence without physical injury. For 537 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
