According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 729 students during the year. That equates to 11 percent of the 6,605 students enrolled.
Of the 653 in-school suspensions, 506 were given to boys and 147 were given to girls, including 257 elementary or middle schoolers and 396 high schoolers.

Of the 76 out-of-school suspensions, 61 were given to boys and 15 were given to girls, including 54 elementary or middle schoolers and 22 high schoolers.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 64 incidents. There were seven incidents of a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm. For 58 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
