Q2 real estate sales report: Island Lake

Median prices rose in Island Lake over last year, and are down 12.4 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 45 homes sold in Island Lake for a median price of $178,900. That's 3.2 percent higher than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, 6 homes in Island Lake were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Island Lake was $5,449.42 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 3.1 percent of their home's value in taxes.
