Report: Nippersink spent $13,716 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Nippersink School District 2 is up 38.4 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $9,913 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,716 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1270 to 1160.

Nippersink's spending in 2017-18 was 2.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
