CRYSTAL LAKE PARK DISTRICT: Limited Spots Still Available for the Sweetheart Tea at Colonel Palmer House

Crystal Lake Park District issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.

Bring your sweetheart to the Colonel Palmer House for a lovely luncheon tea. Sip tea and enjoy chocolates from around the world with an engaging presentation about chocolates. Colonel Palmer House is an historic home with Victorian parlors which creates the perfect setting for a special day. Tables of 4-it’s a great date or make it a family affair! Advance registration is required. Register online at crystallakeparks.org or in person at the Crystal Lake Park District Admin. Office, 1 E. Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake.

The Colonel Palmer House was built c.1858 by settlers Gustavus and Henrietta Palmer. Located on its original site, the home was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Currently the home is maintained by the Crystal Lake Park District and is home to the Crystal Lake Historical Society.
