101 McHenry County residents in their seventies test positive for COVID-19

As of May 25, there have been 101 McHenry County residents in their seventies who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 1,013 residents in their seventies in the county who had been tested, meaning that 10 percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through May 25, there have been 1,427 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 67 deaths from the coronavirus in McHenry County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
