City of Harvard Streets & Alleys Committee Met November 17

Meeting 11

City of Harvard Streets & Alleys Committee met Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Schulz called the meeting to order at 6:04 pm. Committee members present: Chairman Schulz, Alderman Carncross, Alderman Meza, and Alderman Opper. Also present were Mayor Mike Kelly, Alderman Gorman, City Administrator Nelson, Supt. Public Works Kruckenberg, and Code Enforcement Officer Nutley.

Public Comment:

None

Road Program 2022

City Staff presented the road ratings for each street and discussed. City staff also recommended that Crowley Road be repaired with drainage ditches new culverts and new gravel base.

Alderman Carncross made a motion to recommend to the City Council the following road program for 2022, Seconded by Alderman Opper.

Hart St. from Brown St. to Diggins St.               660 feet

Brown St. from Jefferson St. to Grant St.          960 feet

Jefferson St. from Blackman to Dewey St.     1,510 feet

Total                                                                 3,130 feet

All Ayes motion passed

Sidewalk Program 2021

Administrator Nelson reviewed the map and rating system for the sidewalk program. He noted that Anne Nutley completed the rating system and will be in charge of this project seeing it through construction.

Motion Made by Alderman Opper seconded by Alderman Meza to replace the following sidewalks.

Jefferson Street on the west side from Harrison Street to McKinley Street.

McKinley Street for ½ block east of Jefferson on the north side.

Jefferson Street East side from Roosevelt to McKinley

Total program around 800 Linear Feet

All Ayes motion passed.

A motion made by Alderman Carncross to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Alderman Opper. All ayes motion passed

Meeting adjourned at 6:53 pm.
