Report: Nippersink School District spent $14,783 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Nippersink School District 2 was up 29.9 percent from five years ago, according to the McHenry Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $11,382 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,783 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,183 to 1,136 students over the same period.

Nippersink's spending in 2019-20 was 2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
