Report: Huntley School District spent $11,439 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Huntley Community School District 158 was up 21.3 percent from five years ago, according to the McHenry Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $9,427 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,439 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 9,473 to 9,109 students over the same period.

Huntley's spending in 2019-20 was 21.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
