City of McHenry Board of Police Commissioners met Oct. 5.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:05 pm in the Police Administration  Conference Room with the following Commissioner present John Jones. Also present was Chief John  Birk; Deputy Chief Tom Walsh and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent Commission Mike  Roberts 

Public Comment 

None.  

1. Motion to Approve September 7, 2022 Meeting Report 

Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commission John  Jones and second by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve the minutes from the October 5,  2022, meeting. Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried. 

2. Unfinished Business  

Personnel Update – Officers Campos and McClure are in step 2 of training. Both are doing well.  Just started in the Field Training Program extending each of the three steps.  

SRO Program for School District 15 passed by the School Board and City Council. Looking to  hire two additional Officers.

Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn meeting, Police Commission John Jones and second by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn the meeting at 2:16 pm. All ayes, motion  carried.
