Village of Lake in the Hills Board of Trustees will meet Feb. 27

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

The public is invited to make an issue-oriented comment on any matter of public concern. The public comment may be no longer than 3 minutes in duration.

5. Consent Agenda

This portion of the agenda contains several items which will be acted upon in one motion unless any Trustee wishes to remove an item. For members of the public, copies of the agenda are available at the entryway.

A. Motion to accept and place on file the minutes of the February 13, 2025 Board of Trustees meeting.

B. Motion to Approve the February 28, 2025 Schedule of Bills for FY24, total of all funds in the amount of $60,739.64.

C. Motion to Approve the February 28, 2025 Schedule of Bills for FY25, total of all funds in the amount of $183,986.31.

D. Motion to Approve the January 2025 Manual Bills, total of all funds in the amount of $1,493,174.14.

6. Items for Discussion and Consideration

The Board may combine multiple items in the same motion. A trustee may at any time request that the combined action be voted upon in separate motions.

ADMINISTRATION

A. Waive Competitive Bidding and Resolution approving an extension to the Solid Waste & Recycling Services Contract.

B. Ordinance authorizing execution of the 2025 Extension of the Northern Illinois Purchasing Cooperative (“NIPC”) 2020 Intergovernmental Agreement.

POLICE

C. Approve and authorize the Police Department to temporarily exceed the authorized staffing level of sworn officers from forty-two (42) to forty-five (45).

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

D. Ordinance granting a Conditional Use for an Outdoor Use Accessory to the Principal Use at 1303 W. Algonquin Road.

PUBLIC WORKS

E. Approve Option Year One of the Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Services Contract.

F. Accept the bid and award a contract for the Jaycee Park Basketball Court Resurfacing Project.

G. Task Order No. 2025-04 with Baxter & Woodman for the Woods Creek Reach 13 Project.

H. Ordinance authorizing the Disposal of Surplus Property

PARKS & RECREATION

I. Approve the updates to the Village Facility Use Policy, effective February 27, 2025.

J. Waive Competitive Bidding and approve an agreement for the installation of playground equipment for Nature’s View Park and Avalon Park.
