HUNTLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT 158: Huntley 158 Accepting Applications for Board Vacancy

Huntley Community School District 158 issued the following announcement on May 25.

The Huntley Community School District 158 Board of Education is accepting applications to fill the seat of Board President Don Drzal, who announced his resignation effective June 1, 2018 at the Board’s May 3, 2018 Committee of the Whole. The appointment will last until the next Board election, in spring 2019. Current vice president Michael Fleck will assume the presidency.

Drzal was first elected to the Board in 2009 and has served as president since 2013. He is stepping down because of a challenging schedule due to beginning a new job in Chicago.

Those interested in the volunteer position should submit an application by 4:00 p.m. on June 25, 2018, consisting of the following documents, to Julie Stock, Executive Assistant and Board Operations, Huntley Community School District 158, 650 Academic Drive, Algonquin, IL 60102:

  • Letter of Interest
  • Proof of Citizenship
  • Proof of Residency within Huntley CSD 158 boundaries and Illinois for at least a year
  • Proof of Voter’s Registration, for either McHenry or Kane Counties, Illinois
  • Resume and three Letters of Reference
  • Verification of being at least 18 years of age.
