Report: Johnsburg spent $14,014 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Johnsburg Community Unit School District 12 is up 20.6 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $11,619 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,014 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2157 to 1861.

Johnsburg's spending in 2017-18 was 5.1 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
