HUNTLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT 158: Burst Pipe at Conley, Students Relocating to Mackeben, Dismissal Remains as Normal

K12 schools stock 01

Huntley Community School District 158 issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Conley families,

Early this afternoon we experienced a burst pipe outside the teacher’s lounge at Conley. Unfortunately, this issue necessitates a complete shutdown of water service to the building. All students are safe. However, under state code, we are not allowed to have students in the building without running water. Therefore, we will be relocating all students to Mackeben Elementary School for the rest of the school day.

All students have been served lunch. Dismissal times and locations will remain as normal. Bus riders will board the same buses at the same times as normal, and car riders will be walked back to Conley to be picked up as normal.

Phone lines at the school will remain up until 2:30 p.m. Calls after that time should be directed to the District Office at (847) 659-6158.

We are continuing to assess damage and will update you if circumstances dictate further changes.

Sincerely,

Rhonda Maciejewski

Principal
