Report: Crystal Lake School District spent $13,458 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 was up 27.3 percent from five years ago, according to the McHenry Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $10,570 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,458 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 7,604 to 7,316 students over the same period.

Crystal Lake's spending in 2019-20 was 7.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
