McHenry County Education: 103 American Indian students enrolled in school districts in 2023-24 school year

There were 103 American Indian students enrolled in McHenry County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, 5.5% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that American Indian students made up 0.2% of the 45,413 students in the county. They were the second least represented ethnicity.

Among the 18 districts in McHenry County, Huntley Community School District 158 recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 64 students.
