The Huntley High School Athletic Booster Club is accepting applications for its student athlete scholarships.
The club gives out five scholarships, one for $1,000 and four for $500. The scholarships are open to any senior at Huntley High School who has competed in a sport in the school's athletic program and has not violated the Illinois High School Association Athletic Code.
The application includes details about the athlete's high school career, plus any other school or extracurricular activities. Applicants also need to submit a 300-500 word essay on how high school sports prepared them for a future in college, in sports or otherwise.
Applications are due by April 4 to the school's athletic director and will be judged by a team of judges that will consider leadership qualities, extracurricular participation, community involvement, future college plans and the essay.
