Report: Alden Hebron spent $12,872 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Alden Hebron School District 19 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $11,327 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,872 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 444 to 423.

Alden Hebron's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
