Report: Community Unit School District 300 spent $11,150 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Community Unit School District 300 is up 11.4 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kane County school district spent $10,010 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,150 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 20540 to 20985.

Community Unit School District 300's spending in 2017-18 was 16.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
