Harvard Community Unit School District 50 issued the following announcement on July 1.
At Wednesday’s public meeting, the Harvard CUSD 50 Board of Education recognized students for recent achievements.
The board recognized Abby Perkins for receiving recognition for HHS Track & Field as a Pole Vault State Qualifier. Abby Perkins was WHIW’s Athlete of the Month for girls track and field. Harvard High School Jagur Streit received recognition as WHIW’s Athlete of the Month for boys baseball. Asha Billstrand received recognition for Harvard Junior High Track & Field as a Long Jump State Qualifier.
The board recognized Anna Ritschke for the Harvard High School Principal Art Award, MaKayla Davis for the Harvard Junior High School Principal Art Award, Cadence Wioch for the Jefferson Elementary Principal Art Award, Leonel Esquivel-Avila for the Crosby Principal Elementary Art Award, Ariana Schiller for the District Superintendent Art Award, and Pernille Gast for the Harvard-Diggins Library Art Award.
The board convenes every month in open, public meetings to discuss district business and hear citizens’ concerns. An agenda is posted publicly in advance of board meetings. The meeting schedule, agendas, and minutes are available on the board’s web page. The next public meeting is on July 17 at 7 p.m.
