Harvard Community Unit School District 50 issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
Harvard High School
Greetings Seniors!
Last spring we didn't get a chance to take the Illinois provided SAT test. Now you will have your chance to be "Greater Than"!
The College Board and the Illinois School Board of Education have set up September 23, 2020 as an SAT testing date for Illinois seniors that did not get a chance to take the SAT last spring. The makeup test date is October 27 for students not able to test on September 23.
The SAT and Essay test will be given at Harvard High School on September 23 starting at 8:00 am and will end approximately 1:20 pm. Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the High School.
Normal testing rules will apply. Bring two # 2 pencils and your calculator. No food, drinks, cell phones or smart watches will be allowed in the testing area. Face coverings will be mandatory and social distancing rules will be followed to provide a safe environment for testing.
The State of Illinois still requires all students to take the SAT in order to obtain their High School diploma, so this test is mandatory. To help us better prepare for the day, please sign up here for your seat on September 23rd. Registration will close on September 18th for the testing session on the 23rd.
You will be receiving more information from your homeroom teacher as we get closer to the test date. If you have questions, please reach out to me at jhollingsworth@cusd50.org or call the High School 815-943-6461
Sincerely,
John Hollingsworth
Asst. Principal
