2021-22 school year sees 769 students enrolled at Prairie Grove Community School District 46

Prairie Grove Community School District 46 welcomed 769 students in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

This is a 13.1% increase over the previous school year.

Prairie Grove Elementary School had the largest enrollment in the district with 548 students.

Prairie Grove Community School District 46 roughly covers schools within McHenry County and has a main office in Crystal Lake.

In 2022, Illinois had 1,925,415 students enrolled in a total of 3,977 schools. There were 130,467 teachers in the public schools, or roughly one teacher for every 15 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
