Huntley Community School District 158 had the highest enrollment among McHenry County districts, welcoming 8,590 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.7% of them were boys, and 49.3% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 71.1% of the Huntley Community School District 158's total enrollment.

Among the 18 districts in McHenry County, Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 ranked second in enrollment numbers with 6,973 students, while Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 welcomed 6,167 students and ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.
